Westfield River • Browns + Rainbows

The Westfield River is still holding its ground. Right around mid November you either catch ’em or you don’t. There are still some sizable fish lurking around just waiting to go after a fluffy bugger. On this particular outing I landed two rainbows over 16″. Good stuff. Its the brown trout though that are the reason I love the EB so much. They are the true predators with an aggressive attitude, ready to take down a streamer. So much fun. There is a stretch on the Westfield River that caters to browns and thats where I was off to. After several hours of catching some sizable fish it was time to kick back, eat lunch and admire the wildlife. If you haven’t fished this river before I highly recommend it. Its wild and beautiful – the perfect place to let yourself go. If you want a personal adventure on this river give me a shout at grantfigura@gmail.com and ill put you on the fish!
