Modest Mouse and the Deerfield River

Sometimes the river has a soundtrack. There are certain bands that I’ve found over the years that compliment the river. The clash of the water against the rocks, the flow of the water around a bend, a hatch suspended in animation hovering and the rise of a fish against glass. For me, Modest Mouse is one of those bands perticularly the EP “Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks.”

Here’s a link if you haven’t heard it.

I was on the Deerfield River this past week loving the fall weather. I couldn’t help but feel in awe of the river and the sounds. There are so many things to celebrate out there.
