Late October on the Westfield River

The East Branch of the Westfield River finally got some water. Yes, rain! The fishing has been pretty hit or miss lately down in the gorge. I went for a long hike to the center of the gorge and had some luck in a few of my favorite “secret” spots. Those are the best. The places where you can just get away from other fisherman and be at one with the river. I really enjoy working for the fish at the EB. You have to cover a lot of ground on this river but it makes the catch that much more rewarding. As November moves in the fishing should remain solid. I was fishing this river all the way into January last year. We will see how long it lasts! Just keep fishing – just keep fishing.

Cheers,

Grant
