New England in May

Mayflies are hatched the trout are abundant and the sun is welcoming, its most definitely spring. The Deerfield River is unreal at the moment. Perfect water level with a temperature in the 50’s. Hatches are predictable and steady. The trout are aggressive and hitting mostly streamers and nymphs with the occasional dry fly. Blue winged olives are starting to make their way to the water. This is going to be one hell of a season.
