I spent some time last week targeting large mouth bass on the new river. The New houses mostly small mouth and the occasional musky. This river is an amazing fishery, with sizable fish around every corner. I was able to land this bad boy and several others. Just another day in paradise.

My, how I love the New! I’ve fished and canoed rivers all around but none captivate me like the waters of the New River. Fantastic fish! I’ve got a day trip planned for the Gauley which will dump us in the New later in the day for an evening of bass fishing. I can’t wait!
The New is definitely a favorite. Have a great time on your trip.
